Ethernet networks must accommodate growing bandwidth requirements while supporting established infrastructure, diverse system architectures and long deployment lifecycles. The Marvell® Alaska® portfolio of BASE-T PHY transceivers provides the physical-layer foundation for enterprise, industrial and network infrastructure, with a broad range of devices designed to address different port densities, performance requirements and deployment environments.
Network infrastructure increasingly needs more than Gigabit Ethernet to support higher-bandwidth endpoints such as wireless access points, switches, servers and workstations. At the same time, replacing installed copper cabling can add cost and complexity, creating a need to increase network bandwidth while continuing to use existing infrastructure.
The Marvell® Alaska® M series addresses these requirements with multi-rate PHY options supporting 2.5G, 5G and 10G BASE-T connectivity. Devices across the portfolio support multiple Ethernet speeds and configurations, enabling system designers to match bandwidth, port density and host-interface requirements across different network architectures.
For applications with additional system requirements, select devices support Energy-Efficient Ethernet, MACsec, PTP, SyncE and Marvell Virtual Cable Tester® technology. The portfolio supports applications ranging from multi-gigabit wireless access point backhaul to enterprise switching, servers and other higher-bandwidth network infrastructure.

Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet continue to support a broad base of enterprise, industrial and network infrastructure, where dependable connectivity, efficient operation and long service life remain important design requirements. These networks often need to support large numbers of ports, varied deployment environments and existing copper cabling while simplifying maintenance and minimizing disruption.
The Marvell® Alaska® F and Alaska® G series provide 10/100 and 10/100/1000 BASE-T connectivity across single-port and multi-port designs. Integrated capabilities help address common physical-layer requirements, including power efficiency, cable diagnostics and network synchronization.
Energy-Efficient Ethernet helps reduce power during periods of lower network activity, while Marvell Virtual Cable Tester® technology provides visibility into cable condition and faults for faster troubleshooting. Select devices also support extended copper reach, MACsec, IEEE 1588v2 precision timing and SyncE, enabling additional security and timing functions to integrate directly into the Ethernet PHY.
