Sunnyvale, California (August 15, 2005) – arvell®, (NASDAQ: MRVL), the leader in development of storage, communications, and consumer silicon solutions, today announced that the Marvell 88W8510H based NETGEAR Wireless Travel Router (WGR101), has been selected by PC World for a 2005 World Class Award and named one of the magazine’s 20 Best Products of 2005.  PC World selected the best products of the year based upon exemplary product design, feature-set, performance, innovation and price.  Winners were announced in the July 2005 issue of PC World Magazine.

“PC World has been recognizing cutting-edge technology with the World Class awards for 23 years, and NETGEAR’s award is based on the advanced, comprehensive feature set of the Marvell 88W8510H travel router chipset,” said Vivek Pathela, senior director of product management with NETGEAR.  “This type of recognition clearly shows how Marvell Wireless LAN technology provides NETGEAR, and its customers, with the industry’s most compact, integrated and feature rich product that meets today’s instant need for broadband access.”

“PC World selected the Marvell 88W8510H based NETGEAR WGR101 because of its ease-of-use for the end-user, “said Kishore Manghnani General Manager, Broadband Home Business Unit, Communications and Consumer Business Group.  “The NETGEAR WGR101 is an excellent example of how Marvell is able to deliver a robust, easy-to-implement product to customers.”

Marvell’s 802.11g WLAN router chipset provides advanced features which eliminate the expected hassles of complex setup and operation.  For example, the AutoLink feature is a quick and simple, one-click solution for setting up, configuring and enabling a secure WPA or WPA2 wireless network.  Once connected, users can enjoy the expanded freedom offered by Marvell BoostMode technology, which increases throughput and allows up to twice the range of current 802.11g solutions.  Marvell router chipsets also support features for enhanced Quality of Service such as WMM and the upcoming 802.11e specification.

Launched in 1983, the PC World World Class Awards are awarded to the best products of the year as chosen by PC World editors in the hardware, software, Web sites, and services.  PC World’s editors chose the 2005 World Class Award winners after evaluating hundreds of products for home, soho and work environments.  See more information on the NETGEAR WGR101 here:  http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,117622,00.asp.
