The Marvell® QLogic® 2770 Enhanced 32GFC (Fibre Channel) and 2600 Series 16GFC Adapters feature StorFusion™ technology for advanced SAN fabric management and performance, designed to improve network resiliency, enhance diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities, quicken SAN deployment, improve quality of service (QoS), and mitigate SAN congestion with FPINs. These capabilities are developed in conjunction with Brocade® and Cisco(r) FC Fabrics to maximize the value of industry's leading Gen 6 (32GFC) and Gen 5 (16GFC) SAN fabric. StorFusion is integrated with QLogic management tools, including QConvergeConsole® (QCC), VMware® vCenter Server plug-in, and various Brocade and Cisco SAN management tools.

主な機能と特長

  • Brocade ClearLink Diagnostic Port (D_Port) – 複数の QLogic 2700 および 2600 シリーズのアダプター、サーバー、ファブリック コンポーネントに渡ってワンステップで自動診断テストを素早く実行し、SFP やケーブルの問題を特定して解決できます。
  • Read Diagnostic Parameter (RDP)* – ファブリックのあらゆる場所からリモートで診断情報にアクセスし、CRC (エラー情報) や Loss of sync (LOS) のようなネットワークやメディアのエラー発生箇所を特定できます。
  • Link Cable Beacon (LCB)* – 物理的なリンクの両端のポートの LED を点滅させ、ケーブルの識別や管理を簡単にします。
  • Fabric-assigned Port Worldwide Name (FA-WWN) および Fabric-based Boot LUN Discovery (F-BLD) – QLogic アダプターはすでに設定済みのブロケード社のファブリック switch からPort WWN アドレスを取得できるようになったため、サーバーを追加あるいは除去するたびにファブリックを再構成する手間が省けます。
  • Forward Error Correction (FEC)* – FEC を使い自動的に転送エラーを訂正しすることによりリンクの信頼性が向上し、高いエンドツーエンドのデータ転送速度を維持できます。 FC 規格で義務になっているのは Gen 6 FC だけですが、QLogic アダプターでは Enhanced Gen 5 FC アダプターでもオプションとして利用できます。
  • Automatic Buffer-to-buffer Credit Recovery (BB-CR)* – バッファ・クレジットのロスが生じやすい長距離接続で、自動的にクレジットを回復させることにより、I/O のストールやパフォーマンスの低下を防ぐことができます。
  • Congestion Mitigation utilizing Fabric Performance Indication Notification (FPIN) technology helps pinpoint and prevent SAN congestion to optimize application performance across the SAN and enhance troubleshooting
  • Class-specific Control (CS_CTL)-based QoS – 業界標準の CS_CTL 領域を使った QoS 機能の拡張によりネットワークの混雑を軽減し、ユーザーがサービス内容合意書 (SLA) で妥協することなく、仮想環境を素早くスケーリングしたり、最適化・効率化を行えるようにします。
  • Fabric Device Management Interface (FDMI) の拡充、Fibre Channel Ping (FC Ping) および Fibre Channel での traceroute (FC 経路探索) – 接続された SAN デバイスに対する接続性を素早くチェックしたり、接続済みのデバイスに関する詳細な情報をスイッチ管理サーバーから得ることができます。
